St Mary’s Swim Tri Academy haul a fantastic 23 medals from Ulster Schools Swimming Gala in Ballymena


St Mary's College Swim Tri Academy came away with a fantastic haul of 23 medals on Saturday's Ulster Schools Swimming Gala in Ballymena. The girls left early Saturday morning to make the journey to the Seven Towers Leisure Centre and competed against some of the strongest schools across Nothern Ireland. Proud coach Gerard Curran heaped praise on the eleven Year 8 and 9 girls who made up the team and said it was down to hard work in training that paid off. Amongst the medalists we have:
  • Year8, Mia McKinney receiving #gold medal for 50m Freestyle!
  • Year 8, Mia McKinney also receives a #Bronze medal for the 50m #backstroke
  • Yr8 Chloe Meehan who receives #Silver #Medal for 25m #FreeStyle
  • Yr9 pupils, Grace McGee (Gold) and Emilie Hagan (Silver) on 25m #FreeStyle
  • Yr9 pupils receive medals for the 25m #backstroke #Silver Medallist Nicole Morrison and missing from photo, Grace McGee who receives #Gold
  • Year 9 Grace McGee also received #GoldMedal in the 25m #FreeStyle With Colleen Morrin receiving #BronzeMedal
  • Y8 #silver #medallists freestyle relay: Kady Crossan Kori Leigh Long Eabha McCallion & Mia McKinney
  • Year 9 medley relay #silver #medallists Nicole Morrison, Grace McGee Nina Margey and Aobhe McLaughlin, well done & congratulations pupils!
