Engineering Week begins on Monday 10th February 2014


Work Experience Pupil

We extend a warm welcome to Jagjeet Haair, a Year 13 pupil from Oakgrove Integrated College, who is on work experience with us in IT Support.


Rugby Schools Cup

Today we host the North West heats for the Rugby Schools cup. This is a senior competition which will involve a mix of approximately 15; 4th, 5th and 6th year students. Good luck to all involved.


BT Young Scientist Finalists

Our BT Young Scientist finalists are attending a Civic Reception with the Mayor today. This is a lovely recognition for Mrs Blanking and her stars.


Other Voices Festival

Filming and auditions for the Neighbourhood/community element of the Other Voices Festival are taking place in a number of venues including St Mary’s today. This afternoon pupils from Lumen  and our own school will audition and Little Bear are also …

Millennium Volunteers certificates

Year 14 pupils Roísín Mulhern and Úna Asford who recently received their Millennium Volunteers certificates for completing 200 hours of volunteer work.


Junior Culture Tech

There is a special Senior Assembly this afternoon with Rachel McClure from Junior Culture Tech. She will promote a competition they are organising and she will also present prizes for the recent App Competition at UU.


Italian Students

Today we host a group of 35 Italian students. The purpose of the visit is to experience school and lessons in another country.
