Liturgies

Fr Stephen McLaughlin, School Chaplain, celebrated Mass in our new school for all staff on 1st September 2010. It was a very moving occasion as the staff prayed together for the first time in our new building. The first whole school Mass will take place on Wednesday 15th September in the Assembly Hall to mark the beginning of the new school year.

The official opening of the school will take place on 7th October, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, when Bishop Hegarty will bless the school. It will mark a very significant chapter in the history of St Mary's.

The new Oratory will also be blessed within the next few weeks. The Blessed Sacrament will be permanently present providing both staff and pupils the opportunity of some quiet space for prayer and reflection throughout the day. It is hoped to have Morning Prayer each morning in the Oratory led by the Student Liturgy Team. All classes will have allocated time in the Oratory throughout the Year. Parents and visitors are most welcome to visit the Oratory also.
