• All science rooms have been fitted with interactive whiteboards.
• All science teachers and technicians have received training from WELB and Mr. Paul Wade on the use of the interactive whiteboard.

• Year 11 pupils participated in a drama / debate on ethical issues organised by the University of Ulster.
• All key stage 3 pupils participated in a Science in Society competition organised by the U.U

• All Year 8, 9, 10 and 11 pupils participated in Think Differently science shows.

• 30 year 13 /14 pupils were trained by Sentinus as science mentors. All received certificates.

• Specialist science team visited Ballyclare High School (ICT specialist) to form a partnership and enhance our ICT provision
• 2 sets of Quizdom (60 interactive key pads) have been purchased for the school. (This is in addition to the set that has been purchased for the science department.)
• 16 lab tops / trolley with internet access have been purchased for library
• A submission was made for the Sharing Education Programme.
• Careers fair was held on Friday 25th May for all year 10 and year 11 pupils.
• Exam grinds were introduced for pupils doing external exams. These took place an hour before the exam and pupils were given refreshments.
• www.sci4all.com is currently being developed. This is website for local primary schools.
• To recognise the achievement of specialist science status a pin badge has been bought for every pupil at the school.
• A Specialist Science Flag has also been purchased.

• Resources have been bought for other departments and a list of these can be found in Appendix 1.
• All of our partner primary schools have been fitted with an interactive whiteboard and staff have received relevant training from Mr. P Wade.
• Mr David Goddard worked closely with the science co ordinators of our partner primary schools to draw up a science programme for the science centre. This programme is currently being run.
• A unit was refurbished as a science centre in the Old Library trust Building. The centre was named Sci4all as a result of a competition in our partner primary schools.
• Resource boxes for the primary schools have been collated and are available on a loan basis to our partner primary schools.
• Mr Wade has provided ICT training for staff in Holy Child and Holy Family primary schools
• Robotics roadshows were organised for 250 pupils from our partner primary schools (Sentinus)
• Over 500 girls in year 7 participated in our science workshops I February 07.
• Around 1500 year 7 pupils participated in a series of Think Differently science shows in March 07.
• Year 5 pupils participated in electricity workshops in the Sci4all Science Centre.
• 400 year 7 pupils participated in the Big Bug Hunt in May 07.
• A Summer STEM School for 30 year 7 pupils has been organised with Lumen Christi for the 18th - 22nd June.

• 20 sixth years from our partner schools were trained as Sentinus mentors for primary school children participating in our Robotics Roadshow in December.
• 100 year 8 pupils from St. Josephs and Lisneal College participated in a one day robotics workshop and as a result have been awarded the Bronze BA Crest Award.
• 200 pupils from our partner schools participated in our science careers fair.
• Cubs and scouts from Scouting Ireland have availed of the resources in the science centre to complete projects for the science badge. They have completed a First Aid training course.
• Mrs Mulhern has worked with FOSEC and Seagate to develop a science based ‘Adopt a Class’ programme which will be available for use by all secondary schools in the North West.
• Mr D Goddard is on a committee that is looking at ways of alleviating the environmental problems that exist at Lowry’s Lane. This committee consists of members from local primary and secondary schools as well as representatives from Derry City Council and the PSNI.
